Another Great buck. i have been reading your previous posts and reports about the rut in Rutherford County. i have a small tract of land in Readville with a powerline easement on it coincidently. i have been seeing young bucks and one decent one cruising during ML, but saw my first chase yesterday. another decent buck but not what i would call mature.
I just commented in another thread that i feel the rut even in the same county can vary by weeks based on deer densities and buck to doe ratios. Do you think that is possible?

If you are hunting in Rutherford, how can you be tagged out? The limit is three does a day.

Let me clarify - tagged out on bucks. I planned to put a few more does in the freezer. Prop will hunt some w a lever action 35 w iron sights. The way my grand dad did.
And yes, my experience tells me the rut can vary even in the same county. I hunt a number of different farms - and this season on one farm the bucks were chasing like crazy, and not 10 miles away I was seeing bucks still traveling together and not even checking does as they entered the field. I think it has a lot to do w buck/doe ratios.
