Coyote hunting at night with rimfire???

Having this talk with a friend about coyote hunting at night with a rimfire. He says it's legal at night as long as you use a rimfire and no electronic calls. I looked in the manual a few times, one part under the hunting hours says no, then one other part kinda does make it sound like it's ok as long as I use rimfire. He's from VA and says it's legal there, so if thats what your used to I guess it could be easy to misinterpit the TN guide.....now I'm questioning myself that I got to reading.
SO legal or not?:D

It is not legal. Artificial light would have to be used.

It is illegal to hunt coyotes at night.
It is hard for me to understand where any confusion could come in where the hunting hours specifically says that the only animals that can be hunted at night are bullfrogs, raccoons, and oppossums, and the chasing of rabbits and foxes without weapons.

Where in the Hunting Guide does it appear to make it legal? Maybe we can clean it up next year.

Your exactly right, Thats what it does say.
On the opposite page it also says It is illegal to use rifles and handguns using centerfire ammunition from 30 minutes after sunset to 30 minutes before sunrise.
It is plain as day under the hunting hours. I guess it just leaves a little left out if your from another state and thats the way they do it there....hence why I'm here asking to be sure.

It actually doesn't BGG. I guess it was just a matter of interpretation if your from a different state that has different rules than your used to. Thanks.
