Another quick hunt from the same stand in Muzzy season.
2 hunts and 2 nice 8 points.
Hiking in bumped several deer out of the pine thicket. Thought the hunt was over before daybreak. Climbed in the stand anyway and nothing by 8 am.
Had a quick cup of joe and about 8:30 looked out the logging road and saw a tail flicker.
He took a few steps and saw rack. Down the logging road he came.
Stopped briefly to rack some limbs and freshen a scrape. Walking at a steady pace he came into my only true opening and boom.
Pretty much within 5 feet of the previous kill.
2 hunts and 2 dandies for me. Been a truly blessed season.
