How easy is it and what is the cost to get onto a quality lease? This will be for next year. I want something on the east side of Unit L (2.5 or so hours from Knoxville). Hundred plus acres and managed for bucks. I know there will be other hunters involved but prefer to do my own thing and just hang out with my kids. I would be dragging an 11 and 13 year old with me. I am thinking Unit L because of the liberal limits for does for the kids and I like to see deer. I am ok with a size limits on racks as long as there are some "shootable" bucks around. I have passed up five six pointers this year and maybe another 4 or 5 smaller bucks. I want a little space so I am not worried about using firearms in proximity of dwellings. The option to use an ATV to get the deer out is a must. If the lease is huge then using one to get back in the woods a bit would be great. No joy riding just in and out. I willing to pay around $1000 for the three of us. No guest is ok by me. Campsite for a tent or small camper (under 20') would be good. No need for power I have a generator.

You should check with Beekeeper then.... not sure what unit his lease is in (without looking) but might just be what your looking for.

There are a sh!t ton of leases in Wayne,Lewis,Hickman,Perry counties. You are not going to find a good one for $1,000 for 3 people. We pay about $540+ each for ours in wayne county. Its got some big deer on it and no QDM. Shoot what ever you want. I guess we have good genes in the area because the big deer just keep growing.
