Smoked Turkey Question

Im planning on smoking a couple turkey breast tomorrow. One weighs about 5 lbs and the other 9 lbs. My question is how long do I need to smoke turkey breast per pound? Thanks guys and Happy Thanksgiving!!

I would do it by internal temp. , better get it started early.................

Smoke it about 3 hrs then put in bag & finish to proper temp in oven.

X2 on the internal temp. Depending on the cooker temp it should take around 30 minutes per pound. That is cooking around 250 - 275 for a 6-8 pounder. I always allow a couple hours just in case. You can wrap in foil and stick it in a cooler with some old towels if you need to hold it for a few hours before eating. Good luck and post some pics and cooking times.

You need to get the brest temp between 160 and 165 and thight between 170 and 175.

Agree. I did a 5lb breast yesterday and 165 internal temp is what I went to. It was great! Injected with melted butter and Tony Chachere's Creol seasoning, then sprinkled seasoning on top. I laid bacon strips on it about an hour into the process. Apple juice and apple chips for smoke. Awaiting leftovers!
