I didn't know what else to title this...
I am sitting here at nearky 4:00 AM exhausted but too wound up for sleep. I have custody of my son. Many of you have prayed for him due to football injury and for me because of the custody battle that is taking place.
I had talked to my wife and was all set to go hunting this morning. I was going to head to Cedar Hill Swamp so I was getting my bow and other stuff ready to go when my phone rang..at 12:00 AM. It was my son begging me to come get him. The ex went nuts on him. Tried to smack him around, he's respectful so didn't respond in kind, so he did better than I would have. He goes out the back door to get away from her and she locks him out. In the cold.
The story doesn't get any better but in the end I finally pick him up at 2:30 AM. As we are driving home he's finally calmed down and we are chatting. I tell him son you know this has to come out in court. He looked at me and said Yea I know. Then he looked at me and told me he was sorry and that he made a mistake and that he couldn't live with her, didn't want to. He said tonight was proof of that...

If she locked him out in the cold, a police report for child endangerment needs to be filed. That will stand up in court.

Sorry man, sounds like a rough night for sure. Seems like you should be able to rearrange the word Insanity and come up with Family, don't it? Nothing seems to bring out the crazy in folks more, sometimes. But today is a much better day, so roll with it.

At least his father is there for him. Sorry you have to deal with all of the drama but one good thing is that your son is seeing the love you have for him. Out in the cold? That's just wrong.

Yes, prayers lifted.
You must now enlist the lawyers or this kind of event may continue. Avoid all contact with your ex and let the lawyers do their thing. It is not an eay road to ride on but you must see it through. Your Son needs his Dad.
