I don't know why but for some reason I'm wanting a .30-30. I guess its because I've never owned one. Problem is...for some reason I don't want a blued one. I've been looking at a Marlin stainless 336 and a brass Henry. I'm just wondering if the brass is too flashy for the woods, but the barrel and lever are blued, it sure looks good. Which is the better of the two?

I own a few Marlins but the Henrys are first class with a smoooth lever action. Never shot one but they feel great. Now on a 30-30 if you want a stainless I understand but I would seriously Look at a pre-safety Marlin in 35 Rem you WON'T be disappointed....

Henrys are a little heavy to carry in the woods. I'd say Marlin.
