I have read that the only difference in the Thompson Encores and the Pro Hunters is that the Pro Hunters stocks have the anti-recoil stocks and it has the engraving on the reciever. Is this true? Will all the barrels interchange with one another. I really want one but if that is the only difference, then to me its not worth the extra cash for the Pro Hunter.

I think the prohunter has the swing-hammer as well.

Prohunters have longer barrels too. They interchange.

Have not seen but have heard that the trigger stop screw is not present on prohunters. In my opinion it is a must.

Prohunters have 28 inch fluted barrels, flex tech in the stock and forearm, swing hammer (its nice), and the engravings on the receiver. You can buy a standard encore receiver and put all of the prohunter parts on it. I have two prohunters and one encore that had the swing hammer added and prohunter stocks and barrel.
FYI the encore stock does not feel no where as good as the prohunter does. JMO
