Just going along with bowriter's continuation of the trend...
Do you use a tree, one arm, a rock, dig a hole, etc? I like a good tree to lean against.

I like to find a log and hang my tail over it. Closest thing to the real thing I guess. Doing wall squats agains a tree works too. Back when I was inexperienced, I squatted down like a catcher and if fell in my pants!

I don't. I hold it until I can get back to camp and use a real john! Honestly, I hate having to drop a deuce in the woods, for whatever reason.

I like to find a small tree or sapling, grab it for balance/support and squat.

HA! Did you pick it up and throw it like a catcher?
I don't remember. All I know is that I was probably 10 or 12 and didnt even realize I had done it. I just kept smelling crap and then I realized it was in my pants. LOL
Nasty and gross and mad at the time but hilarious now that I think about it!

On public land I try to find a tree with at least 2 cat's eyes or markers on it then let nature takes its course. Figure someone took the time to mark the tree for me. They are usually good sturdy trees and easy to lean or hold on to.
