So here 's the deal. I have been out several times this fall and have only seen one squirrel the entire time. What am I doing wrong? I havent hunted in many, many years but I can remember as a kid going and having no problem finding squirrels. Does anyone have some tactics that they have been successful with, that they would be willing to share? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Probably gonna head back out in the morning. Hopefully this time tomorrow I posting some pics. Thanks!!

Thanks for the advice! Think you may be on to something there. Isn't that the way it always works.

Find some hardwoods. Look for nests. Sit and be very very still. With a lot of dried leaves on the ground this time of year it's hard to move without causing to much noise or being visible. Still hunting with a scoped .22 is perfect this time of year. Remember where your downed squirrels are and pick them up after your done with that area. Depending on how skittish the squirrels are it can take a while for them to feel comfortable moving around after you've set up or after a shot. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help you with other questions.

I agree, go deer hunting and you will limit out. I could have limited Saturday and Sunday both with a few rabbits as well.
