You can look them up here.

http://www.tennregistry.com/search_score.aspx

The non-typical record is the one that was in the Bass Pro Shop in Nashville before the flood. I'm still curious what happened to that mount.

They guy who killed it is a tndeer member. His screen name is 51 pointer. Guess I could PM him to find out.

Oh, ok. Thanks. Last time I was in there was before the flood, and it was in a glass case in the entrance. I wonder if they had put it on the wall before the flood.

I have a question for you BigGameGuy.In your opinon As a TWRA Biologist do you think there is any likely hood that some of the original Tn. mountain buck genes are still floating around and producing bucks like this Guy ??I understand deer were reintroduced to Tn after they were Almost wiped out.Seems like I've read that a few small pockets of Tn deer remained in remote parts of the mountains.
Monsters like this are what many of us dream of.

I think the same dirt that grows those big pumkins up in allardt has something to do with it. Good minerals in the soil and age of the deer. Monster buck!

About the only place native tennessee deer were left was in the mountains on the eastern border of the state. The deer stocked in the area where this one was killed were from the northern subspecies. Since it has been only within the last few decades that we have had continuity between deer populations in the eastern mountains and the deer on the Cumberland plateau, I would seriously doubt there are any original tennessee genes in that deer.

There's a buck here in Montgomery co. Killed by john teeter back in 2001 I think. It nets around 192 and it was killed with a muzzle loader. Pretty positive it is in the records.

I do not work for TWRA, but I am a wildlife biologist who did Masters work with White-tailed deer, and I teach Wildlife management. My undergraduate is in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, with minors in Zoology, Forestry, and Statistics. I have worked extensively with White-tailed Deer, Black bears, Great Blue herons, quail, ruffed grouse, raccoons and several species of fish. I was also a part of the otter reintroduction project in the Great Smoky Mountains National park.
