On opening morning of IL gun (Friday) at my farm in Adams it was unbelievable the number of shots. I honestly couldn't give you a number it was so many. I thought to myself how there could be any deer left in the area. Here is what I realized, a lot of shots are misses with a shotgun. I actually witnessed a guy trying to shoot a buck that was at least 275-300 yds away. The buck was tending a doe and was looking at the spots where the slug was hitting around him while the doe continued to eat in the field. They could care less about the actual shots. After the 8th shot the doe finally spooked and off they went. I could not believe what I was seeing across the property line but it happened and I couldn't help but laugh at the confused look on the buck as he was trying to figure out what was hitting the ground around him...lol...some hunters will take any shot I guess.

No lie the wife and myself stopped counting at 100 on opening morning yes 100!
