To start pulling the trigger. I'm getting myself burned out by just letting everything I see walk. I have been waiting on HIM to show up but he hasn't yet and I'm getting tired of coming home empty handed. I have seen more deer by far this year but have only shot 1 and that was opening day of bow season at 7:15am. I have learned a lot this year by just watching but I'm going to have to bring some meat home soon. I think I may give myself a doe day soon. Anyone else getting burned out of trophy hunting? Heck its only a few days into rifle season and I feel like this. I have put a lot of hours in the stand already.

Ha, no. The trophy I was after got a pass when my scope crapped the bed. 6 shots his direction was enough to educate him. I replaced the glass and took the next thing that walked by as a sacrifice for my shortcomings.

Funny thing a couple of years ago I was in the same boat, but to my dismay when I decided to start shooting does there were no deer to be found...lol...good luck
