yeah I have seen 3 different bucks grunting after doe(s) this season. The most recent one went and chased the does away from me. Also one of the bucks, the old one, snort wheezed at a younger buck that was interested in the does.

Been watching a 7 the last 2 mornings with a doe and everytime she takes off hes not far behind grunting softly, then this morning had another run in with him and he stopped about 50 yards out and grunted really loud about 3 times. Wish his dad would show up!

I have heard more grunting from bucks this year than every year previously here in Middle TN, and I have hunted here since 2000.

Saturday morning- 2.5 year old bumping a doe around was grunting.
This morning- buck came off ridge behind me inside 50 yards, still to dark to see. He was making loud popping grunts. Pretty sure he was following a doe, there was a deer in front of him.. He never chased, he was just following and grunting.. Had me a little shook up. Very big rubs in area..

Heard one yesterday evening grunted probably 30 times but, never seen him. I grunted back a few times but no response. I didn't want to get to agressive with my grunts. Maybe he's still around somewhere close.
