Who all will target a specific old doe?

On friday, before I finally kilt the buck right after sunset, I hunted all day and got picked out at least three times by this old, smart doe. She had a young doe with her the whole time too. Her chest was deeper than on any other doe I've seen, she was big bodied and had a noticeably low-pitched "voice" when she blew at me. She's gonna screw up more hunts if I don't kill her soon. I already flung an arrow at her once but hit a tree, so now she's even smarter. She will go downwind and smell me, and will see me even if I don't move, come close enough just to get a good look and bust me. From now on, every time I see her, she gets shot priority, unless I can see a real big buck behind her. I call her ol' Nanner Doe and she ain'g gonna survive the season if I get the chance. If/when I kill her I will pull the jaw bones.

I know a lot of us like to target old bucks, but who targets old does too?

Towards the end of season I'll pick off a few old nannies. Got one on my hit list for sure. She does me the same way every time I try to hunt this one certain spot. Blows and blows and blows the first chance I get crosshairs on her BOOM!!!!

good luck on her, Mudbone told me about the one who always checked your stand and then he ambushed her from the bushes while you sat in the tree taking video... good story

I've done it. I've had some specific does that I tried unsuccessfully to kill for multiple seasons.

Some of those big mature does are just as hard to kill as mature bucks....They get awful smart and crafty with age.

I had one that would do that to me. I finally killed her when she stuck her head out of a briar patch to get a better look at where I was sitting. She was crafty, but I finally got her. She went down officially as 5 1/2+, but her teeth were about gone.

I killed one earlier this year. The two little ones and another doe that came in with her just stood there looking at her after she fell. I got the two little ones, too.

I have not targeted a specific doe, but I killed a doe in MS which was probably the oldest deer I have ever killed. Her teeth were wore down to the gums. I killed her on public land. Her fawn was what got her killed. He was acting silly, I spotted him, and after awhile I could make her out too.

I got one on Laurel Hill years ago that aged 8 plus. She really didn't have any teeth left at all.
