What a morning....first - here is my Nanny Doe - took her about 0615 - one shot - dropped her in her tracks....

(All pictures on FB)

My grandfathers .32 WinSpcl still puttin' down.

Standing where the doe is looking back to the blind you can see the shot path almost \:\)

Gettin her ready to pull up the tree...

My brother took this, I'm about worn out already - too fat and too old I guess \:\)

Some of the finest chow on earth right here:

Loaded up and ready to head out - my wheeler crapped out so I had to use my SIL's but it got it done:

Long story about these 3 expended rounds - story to follow:

Top of left shoulder just under the spine, top of both lungs, you can see the path in this picture....170 grains pushed it just right -

And for BSK - can deer fat predict the weather? If so it's going to be a long cold winter - this is at the base of the back strap about 3/4" thick and she was really covered up in fat and very healthy no ticks/bugs nothing...

Sunday Morning after a full day in the tree \:\)

I took the rest of her to the processor, to warm to let her hang another day -

I'll post the long version of the story after a bit -

ferg....

Congratulations!

I,too hunted with a 32 spl Saturday morning. Mine is an 1894 sporting rifle with a 26 inch octagon barrel manufactured in 1903. Did not see a deer but that's how it goes sometimes.
