Nice! More info on the 6.5 wildcat please. I have been thinking about a 6.5 Grendel upper for mine. Is that the same Burris 2-7 that I sold you a few years back?

Wow good eye and memory Kimberman- that is the exact same scope. It has been used to kill a bunch of deer and some coyotes. In fact I like it so much I have 2 more on other rifles- perfect size for a hunting rifle, good optics, and inexpensive. The cartridge is the 6.5DTI from Dtech. It is based on the 6.8spc necked down a tad with a 30* shoulder. I like the 6.5 bore a lot having used a M77 .260 since 1999. The Grendel would be the most practical way to get there in an AR; ballistics are the same except the DTI version doesn't handle heavy bullets as well as they take more powder space. Or the standard 6.8spc would do the same thing. But I wanted something a bit different and Mike built the first 6.5DTI ever made for me. I think there is another one in the field now.

NICE job ... and nice DTech.
Mike has built 2 uppers for me and he's undoubtedly the best out there.

I've killed a couple with my .300 Blackout loaded with 125 gr Sierra Pro-Hunters over 21.0 gr Accurate 5744. At 2200 fps that load is deadly on deer and shoots flatter than factory 30/30 Win. The 16" carbine is lighter and easier handling than my trusty old Marlin 336 and follow-up shots will be much quicker if I need them, but so far both have been DRT kills. It's become my go-to gun for hunting the thick stuff.

Kman I'm using 85g Sierras at ~2875 fps for a pure coyote load although I think it would whack a deer just fine. For deer I am using a 100g Nosler partition(had a good supply already) at ~2675 fps. These numbers compare favorably to the Grendel per Hodgon's data site. So far I've killed 8 deer and 3 coyotes with it and I have been very pleased. Of course the 6.5G or 6.8SPC would do the same without the hassle of custom dies plus factory ammo is available for those two.
Bobtail- what cartridges are your Dtechs chambered for?
