Long story short man and I have always wanted a live catch trap and I acquired one today.

I seem to remember that leg hold traps must be identified with name and number or something.

If I was gonna set this trap out in the woods or by a pond or something and throw some bait in it and try to catch a coon to kill and skin out, is that even legal?
Do I need to mark it with my name and address or what?

Thanks.

Yes, it is legal to use a cage type trap for raccoons, and it must be labeled just like any other trap.

The trapping season started Saturday! And coons are legal to trap.

Guide says it just has to be your name. I had my name and TWRA # put on my trap tags I just had made.

Snareshop.com does copper tags 100 for $20 plus shipping with whatever you want on them.

Has anyone put phone number on tags just if someone found it I wonder if someone would return it. Of if you tagged your stand and the GW had a problem he could call you, or if someone wanted to use stand they could ask? I wish for a rainbow and ponies world.
