After burying a friend week before last I took off with a preplanned fishing vacation with good friends. I had to leave Thursday because my father in law who is in home hospice got really sick and we did not think he would last the night. He did and rallied some so we decided to have Thankgiving last night.
I've seen a lot of death and mostly where family members don't get an oppurtunity to say goodbye but last night we gathered around his bed and he said such kind words to each one of us that was there all the while struggling to breath.
My wife said " All my life my parents showed me how to live, now my Dad is showing me how to die".
Thanks for the prayers earlier for my family. George is a believer and is not afraid to die. I just hope that it is quick and peaceful. Thanks for listening. I am up in a ladder stand for a few hours trying to think about the other things that God grants us to do in the good times of our lives.

Thanks means different things at different times. Glad your focus can be on God when the going is rough.

Thanks for sharing, prayers for your father-in-law and family. Sorry about the loss of your friend earlier.
