They need to be timed and synced like any cam system, including single cams.

Correct, and when you get them in time take a sharpie and mark lines and both sides of the cams, using the limbs as a straight edge, on both ends so you can tell when/if anything has moved. Hoyts do have some "wiggle room" in their specs (generally 1/4"), unlike Mathews which has to be 100% dead on.
