^ was tempted. And would actually like to give your processor a shot at it, if I get lucky enough this year!

Is that Williams meet processing? I saw them on the list for Hunters for the Hungry. Had thought about taking them some 'til I lost my honey hole.

I will be doing it just like that as soon as the pole barn goes up.

I love processing my own deer. I get the most meat out of my deer and it doesn't take very long once you get the hang of it.

I do it mostly the same except I remove the backstraps while it is still hanging. Overall it is very informative and easy to follow.
Same here. I like to remove the back straps first so I keep nice long back straps, then I cut the deer up completely on table.

In January, I am thinking of starting a TN Deer pledge drive for members to commit to doing their own butchering for the 2013 season. What do y'all think?

In January, I am thinking of starting a TN Deer pledge drive for members to commit to doing their own butchering for the 2013 season. What do y'all think? We've only killed 4 deer ever. We've processed them all ourselves with help / videos from the internet. Getting easier and quicker as we go. Never considered taking to a processor. All it takes is time.

Already ahead of the curve. Under your tutelage, I hope to be proficient before the end of this season.
