I don't get to hunt much due to work and a newborn. I have been out 6 times this year and have just been seeing does. That's all I have on my trail camera too. The bucks that I was getting pics of have disappeared it seems. Anyone seeing any rutting action in east tn? Just curious if anyone has been rattling or grunting and if you have been having any luck. I plan on hunting hard this week.

I have lived over here for 5 years and have yet to see a real rut of any kind. There are so many does, the bucks don't have to compete. I actually found my FIRST rubs I have ever seen, since moving here.
I hunt 3 different farms in Greene and Cocke County. I have had as many as 9 trail cams out at once, all during the summer, and can count on one hand, the different bucks I have seen. Does galore. But few bucks and few fawns seen in the summer as well.

I have found that peak breeding happens around 2nd week of Dec around south Knox county. As soon as I get back to TN I'm going to hit west TN thru thanksgiving weekend then get back to east tn and catch the action heating up there. Best of luck to you!

I keep finding new rubs and scrapes. I'm guessing still in the per rut. This is up in Campbell county.

I've had to work all weekend but the report from my brother was that he saw a couple young bucks yesterday. Both were with does. He said they weren't doing any chasing but they were grunting some. I have always seen the most action here around Thanksgiving.
