Thought of rsimms post plz dont die today while on stand Im sure everyone has had a charlie horse (cramps) before, but I have never had one 20' in the air dancing around on a 24" platform. My legg locked up in thigh area and was actually calling out to my maker and beating it with my fist. Lasted 4-5 minutes, it would come and go. Yes I was wearing my safety harness. Never slipped or fell off, but I was doing somekind of dancing. After it was all over, I had to climb down and walk it off. Thinking how lucky I was about how bad that situation could've been. Anyone else ever had that happen on stand?

No charlie horse, but I've had my feet cramp on stand; not an enjoyable time.

I don't think I ever had that happen on stand. Yesterday I was sitting on a wee little tripod seat on the ground, and it was doing weird things to my legs. When a deer showed, I stood up to get my rifle ready, and sure enough, the leg starts to go into that warning mode. Thought I was gonna have to try and take a shot through the pain, but I was able to shift weight enough to stave it off. Nasty pain.

Those charlie horses hurt , seems to happen about once a season to me. Do not like do drink any fluids in morning before getting into stand, so now i eat banana's and have not had one this season yet. do not know if that is answer, but so far i cannot argue with it.

I don't care for heights and to have that happen while up in the tree would really suck!!!

Had that happen about ten years ago. I climbed into a homemade stand about 30 ft high. Not the safest stand ever and at that time I never wore a safety harness. Went to climb down ladder made from tree limbs and had charlie horse hit in both legs. Couldn't go up or down ladder had to wait it out about 2 hrs. Ok really only about 5 mins but seemed alot longer when you cant move

You may be right, I drink plenty of water while on stand to no evail..internet said causes were dehydrated or low potassium. Will pack a few nanners with me from now on.

Not in a stand. However, what you stated is what happens to me daily, sometimes several times daily due to this leg/vein problem I'm going through in each leg.So when I say I feeeeeelll your pain, I really do.
You can also drink pickle juice for reducing cramps.

For leg or foot cramps you can also do this (old karate master trick): As soon as you feel the cramp coming on use your index finger and thumb and pinch that indention on your upper lip thats right in the middle, under your nose. Put your thumb on the inside of your lip and idex finger on the outside. You have to pinch REALLY hard, but your leg and foot cramp will go away in a few seconds. Keep pinching extremely hard until the cramp subsides. The reason it works is that it short circuits some of your body energy. Nobody believes it works until they try it the first time. Then they say "Wow! Thats incredible! How does it work?"
