He has been bugging me wanting a new bow. He is 10 years old and has killed 3 deer with his crossbow. He said he wants a compound bow now. He didn't want to wait for Christmas Well I got done hunting this morning and he wanted to go to the new high country archery shop that just opened up here in Hixson to see if they had a youth bow. The lady said that they were fixing to have a youth shoot. The winner got a new bow. We stood in line and he shot his three arrows. He got a 20 on target. I thought that wasn't to bad. I figured someone would do better. I told him good job. Well he didn't want to hunt this evening so I left him home. As I was walking to stand, my phone rang and the woman said that he won 1st place and come by Monday to pick up his new bow. I am really excited and proud of him. Looks like he will be shooting a high country, just like his dad.
