I thought my run-in last year with Antioch High School's drum section banging their drums while marching down a walking path through the woods would be the wierdest thing I would ever see on Priest....until this morning. This morning I went to one of my better spots, about as far away from anyone as I can get. I got nestled in and ready for quite time in the woods and the chance of seeing a deer that is on my hitlist. All was good until about 7am when I watched this boat beach on the bank 75 yards from me and these two idiots get out with swords and start having a swordfight right in front of me. I'm like...WTH???? After fifteen minutes they finally wear themselves out then proceed to gather as much firewood as possible and build a 8ft tall bonfire on the shoreline. As if that wasn't enough, here comes a young dad and his little boy that was no more than 5, I wave at them and he nods at me and then proceeds to walk directly in front of the direction I was facing and then plop down 50 yards in front of me and faces me. Gotta love public land, but the sword fighting and percussion section about takes the freaking cake! Rant over!!!!

Uh.....You might want to lay off smoking that stuff before going hunting. \:D

And that is why I don't bother hunting at Priest anymore

You can keep the Public Land. The only Public Land we hunt has almost ZERO hunters on it and very few riff-raff to deal with. most are too scared to venture as far in as we do anyways.

I'm sure he wasn't hunting on Priest this morning because he didn't feel like hunting his private 200 acre deer Mecca.
