At least 10 here. Most were pretty close. I cringe at every shot, not in fear of getting hit, but the fear that they killed one of the bucks I'm after.

Seen 1 doe, buddy with me saw 1 buck 3 does. Heard 25 shots. Hunting private land. Someone has to be sighting in rifle at 8:30am...some people gheeze

On opening morning of IL gun (Friday) at my farm in Adams it was unbelievable the number of shots. I honestly couldn't give you a number it was so many. I thought to myself how there could be any deer left in the area. Here is what I realized, a lot of shots are misses with a shotgun. I actually witnessed a guy trying to shoot a buck that was at least 275-300 yds away. The buck was tending a doe and was looking at the spots where the slug was hitting around him while the doe continued to eat in the field. They could care less about the actual shots. After the 8th shot the doe finally spooked and off they went. I could not believe what I was seeing across the property line but it happened and I couldn't help but laugh at the confused look on the buck as he was trying to figure out what was hitting the ground around him...lol...some hunters will take any shot I guess.

I heard yesterday (opening day) , at 7am .....7 shots from one gun in about a three minute period ; it was crazy1
