I up on opening day and still not in the woods just no motivation... have had so much going on here lately and alot of stuff tugging at my heart i just dont know if ill hunt any this year. Lost my job , My ex wont let me see Nathan ( her son ) i raised him from 2 weeks old like he was my own but have no real rights to him. I've thought about making this topic for a while now but was hoping it would get better when the gun hunt opened so i would have something to look forward to but it didnt.

If you guys wouldnt mind send a prayer up for me if you get a chance, hope everyone has a amazing opening day and get the monster buck you have been looking for.

Sorry about your situation Eric, but don't feel bad because major life changes infringe upon your "hobby". Love it as we might, deer hunting has a place in your priority list, and the hard knocks seem to have shown you just where it falls. And it seems to be in a healthy ranking below family and job.

Hang in there, be with good friends, spend time w God, and come back to the hunt when it's time.

Eric. God has a plan. It may be painful now. It may suck now. In life god allows changes. I have seen your situation turn on a dime to many times. Things look like hell then bam!!!! New spirit, new excitement and you find your life again. You lived a bunch of years before you met that woman. You have just forgotten them and how joyful life was before them. I am sure you will see the boy. Let the bad feelings go away a bit. I am sure the boy is asking about you as well. It will look up. You will see.
