I'd like for you to quit posting like a spoiled liberal brat that implies you support the fiscal road we're speeding down with no brakes, for four more years. I don't know how old you are, but show some guts and find out what the remainder of your life may look like if half of the population continues to feed off the production of the other half. We've elected a freakin slot machine when we should have purchased a buttplug and a can of bear repellant. But, that's just me. ok, I'll try and post more like you want sir.

Odd how people think a company OWES people jobs and that their bottom line doesn't mean anything.
Thanks to the Obamamessiah , we are going to see unemployment nearly double in the next 4 years. Mark my words. when all of these tax hikes and Obamacare mandates go into effect, people are going to be hurting.
I suggest investing in canned goods, being self reliant , owning plenty of ammo, and having a "Plan B" to create an income that can dodge many of the economic pitfalls that are about to happen.

It all comes down to the company making a profit. Union or non-union it doesn't matter, if there is no profit everybody loses. A lot of folks lost jobs because of this, at a very bad time.
I would like to see what they were asking for and the profits that hostess made last year. I want to know all the story instead of just want they want you to hear.

I think the union is a good example of where our country is headed.
A few mafia style socialist goons running the show and collecting the loot. A few more "team players" jumping on the bandwagon to be part of the cool crowd and get in on the action. A Few more people who go along because they are scared of what will happen to them if they disagree. And a Pile of good folks who haven't been paying attention and don't think it matters.....yet.

Fair assessment!

harvester - it was reported yesterday that the Teamsters got to take a detailed look at Hostess's financials. The Teamster's tried to get the baker's union to come to their senses, but they were not successful.
"Hostess set a deadline of 5 p.m. Thursday for the bakers' strike to end, otherwise it would seek liquidation. The Teamsters responded by publicly calling upon the bakers' union to hold a secret ballot vote to decide whether to continue the strike -- an indication that the Teamsters felt some of the bakers' union rank-and-file may have felt differently about the strike than union leadership.
Ken Hall, the Teamsters secretary-treasurer, said his union didn't doubt Hostess' claims after seeing its books.
"I think it's obvious there was no bluff," said Hall. "Our financial advisers had looked at their books, they had total access. We pushed them in negotiations to where we thought it was the absolute limit, that we would get the most for our members and [still] have a pathway back to prosperity for the company. The bakers' union disagreed with that."
"Frankly, I feel sick about what's going on here," Hall added. "It's a tragic day for 18,000 workers.""
