Relatively speaking a 30-06 with normal rings sighted in at 1.5" low at 30 yards should be shooting where at 100 yards

That's a loaded question and if you are taking 100 yd shots depending that range time, I would go with my gut feeling on knowing rifle etc instead of answers from here. You have a better feel for the rifle. JMO

Last year my 30-06 was sighted in dead on at 100 yds...I didn't have time to go to the 100 yard range today, the farthest I could shoot at my house was 55 yards.I was shooting at a 1 inch black circle on the target, and the bullet hit at the top of the 1 inch black circle,so it was hitting maybe 1/2 inch high at 55 yds. With it sighted in dead on at 100 yards,it hits 2.5-3 inches low at 200 yds with a 150gr power point.

Depends on bullet wt. Depends on powder charge. Then comes velocity.

I don't know what happened to my last sentence on my first post but i'm shooting 150 grain power point factory loads. I'm not looking for a debate and criticism. I know what the gun is shooting at the ranges. I'm either reading the charts wrong or my gun does not shoot with the charts. Just looking for experience from others is all. I am considering changing my zero range and just weighing my options .

Zero your rifle in to shoot 1" high at 100 yards and go hunt.

I like mine zeroed so it will be 3 inches high at its highest point,,
when I am zeroing a new rifle 1 inch low at 25 gets me real close at 100.

Zero your rifle in to shoot 1" high at 100 yards and go hunt.
Pretty much sums it up.
