Dogs treed on my property right now! Guess I will wait on the owner(s) to show up and introduce myself. After that they are more than welcome to shoot it out, the dogs ain't hurting a thing and it sounds so sweet! Bet there will be deer come through in the morning too ;). I really can't understand why folks get so bent out of shape over coon hunters. I know where these folks turned out and they have permission to hunt there, can't help where the dogs and coons go...

Would have like to have went tonight myself but I'm afraid I would not wake up on time in the morning. Sure do like to hear dogs treed, even sounds better when a pack is under a tree of a bear.

All i can say is when we bought our property and stopped the coon hunting our deer hunting got 25x better. I been hunting there 16yrs and we bought it in 08 and stopped the coon hunting completely 3 yrs ago and our hunting is way much better.
Not saying all coon hunters are bad but i got a bad taste in my mouth for them from the ones who hunted on our property. It was the owners before us nephews and there friends. They would be drunk when they got there and be smashed by the time they were done. had the other property owners mad at us and finally had to clear it up with all them that it wasnt us and that the coon hunting was stopped.

I used to live on a very large farm that coon hunters did not have permission to hunt, that didn't keep them from run dogs all over it all night, driving through the fields, cutting chains and fences, etc.
Try sleeping with hounds beighing all night.

I dont allow anyone on my property at all,But if a coonhunter knocks on my door in the middle of the night wanting to retrieve his dogs he is more than welcome to and can shoot the coon if its legal.I used to coonhunt and you cannot control the dogs or the coon. You can have 500 acres to coon hunt and the dogs will tree on the neigbors 5 acres.

Thats when you put your gun down and go over and get your dog off the property

Yup. There isn't much more fun than hunting with dogs...deer, rabbit, quail, coons etc... But you have to respect surrounding landowners property.
