ok guys i posted other day about shooting my biggest buck and loosing him went by the property to just stop and talk to the land owner today and low and behold the buzzards and flying over head but not in one general area so how long will it be before they will lead me to my trophy? never tried finding one by the birds so didnt no how long it would take them to find him. thanks for any advice you all can give

I guess just see where they go down or look for them in tree tops. A couple days ago the buzzards were still on my buck carcass from last week. I saw them in the trees and circling around the general area.

Is it really still a trophy if you need the buzzards to find it? If I loose a deer to a bad shot, I'm not generally proud of it.

How is it still not a trophy? he didn't say he was proud of the shot or not finding it. At least he is doing everything he can to still find the deer and not giving up on it.

so its better to not find the deer as opposed to findin it picked over?

Remember, if you do find the deer, and you are SURE enough that it is YOUR deer to claim the prize, you need to punch that buck tag to legally possess those antlers!
