My old harness is ready to be replaced.I've looked at some different brands on Ebay, probably may get the Hunter Safety System vest.I have a question, some have a climbing rope or strap, how are these used and will they keep you from falling as you climb the stand.I will be using ladder stands.

The lifeline is what you would use for ladder stands. It's a rope with a prusic knot to tie to. HSS is great.

HSS is the best I've ever owned and that's a lot over the years.

Like the simplicity of my HSS, but I am thinking of going to a rock climbing harness similar to the 20ft up harness. As was stated before if you are using a ladder stand best practice is to use a life line.

I would give the rock climbing style like the 20feetup harness a very serious looka heck of alot safer, much more versatile than the HSS style and no dang strap constantly getting the way.

My HSS vest is heavy, but very comfortable and well made. I like all of the pockets on the vest.

As stated, the HSS Lifeline keeps you tethered from the ground into your stand. If you need for multiple stands, they are fairly easy to make.
