I am really surprised with the Harvest Report for Polk County 52 deer as of today. The 3 bordering counties have great harvest reports, Bradley-622, Monroe-350, Mcminn-1052, I grew up here and hunt here and there is a lot of National Forest and a lot of good private land. I would really think there would be a higher number on the harvest report any clues to why this might be? Besides the obviuos nobody is killing deer, just wondering if there is a poaching problem or failure to tag deer issue?

That is a crazy to think that they took that many deer, but I do not doubt it one bit. Maybe one day the local and state law enforcement will have the resources to put a stop to it, as I am sure they are aware of the problem and are doing what they can to stop it.

Isn't a lot of Polk County rugged steep terrain?

We could all help by getting plate numbers when possible and reporting when people are bragging about killing more deer than legally allowed!
