I ask to clarify what I think I understand the rules to be after reading them. While I'd like to think a warden stopping me would understand a small infraction, ignorance is not a good reason to break any rules.
What makes it even more difficult is I've got years and years of doing things differently ingrained in my head. This section of this website has made it even easier to understand the TN rules. For instance I'm still wrapping my mind around the idea of killing more than 1 deer a day and having just 1 tag to move them all to a processor/registration station.
It would be nice to have a specific tag like you have in some of the northern states for each of your deer. Some of the states even have meta tags and others are on adhesive paper. However, there is a big difference in having a season bag limit of 3-4 max and ours which I think potentially could reach over 200.
We do realize that there are law enforcement problems/loopholes in our current system, but, overall, it doesn't seem to be hurting our deer managment efforts at this point.
Enjoy the convenience!
