I experienced what I've been reading about here...about how hard it is to get through on the phone once November rolls around! I got through on the 2nd try yesterday for civilians and both 26 & 48 were already full! I'm guessing they were filled before 10:30 am rolled around.
I lucked out today though and was able to get area 50 for Friday and was hoping for just a little help.
How long will it take me to drive to area 50 from the store where you pick up your area assignments? On the map it looks like it's a pretty far piece.
Coming from the Clarksville side of the Fort, what is the quickest or easiest way to get to that area? Is it driving through the Fort or is there a way you access from the Ky side of the Fort?
I sure don't want to walk in on anyone's area and will certainly avoid parking where I can see others parked but what can I expect there? Is it a pine thicket, fields, hardwoods or a mixture? Thanks for the help guys!

I hunted 50 twice this past weekend. It takes about 30 minutes or longer to drive across to 50 from the headquarters office.
I'll send you a message about what I seen over in 50.

Congrats Wayne. 19 is an awesome area.
Are you sure that deer is only 2.5? Who decided the age? I find that hard to believe. He probably has less tooth wear from the food sources around his area.
I'm about to have it looked at in a hour or so for another estimated score and age.
TWRA Officer took a good look at him an hour after I shot it and roughed it at 170 and 2.5 yrs. old. Im sure he is on the money or very close but it was an educated guess, and Im interested to see how close he is with the numbers.
