I cannot imagine anyone modifying a side-by-side, or any other 4 wheeler, to run with a max speed between 20 and 25 MPH.
Heck mine will run faster than that in first gear. I don't see why three wheeled vehicles are legal and four not.

My old Yamaha 660 Rhino will do about 43 and smooth. Heck i would love to drive it to work.

You can modify them to meet the requirements of "low speed vehicles". However, the modifications are lengthy, and then the roads you can drive them on are also limited. here is the rule. http://www.tn.gov/revenue/notices/titlereg/08-20.pdfI cannot imagine anyone modifying a side-by-side, or any other 4 wheeler, to run with a max speed between 20 and 25 MPH.
Almost all manufactures make them, there is no need to modify them. They are pre approved to meet the government requirements.

Yeah I'd love to be able to drive mine around town. I know it would do over 80, I've never been able to top it out while racing it yet. It's got a full blown race motor and will fly

(1 mile from driveway to gate) was told by a buddy thats friends with him that he didnt care as long as you werent out actin stupid. that bein said my foreman will top out at 47 lol

The max speed of them keeps them from being legally registered.

I ride my Rancher on the road sometimes when i feel like getting out and just taking a ride around the countryside. Its not legal, but i figure if thats the worst thing i do in life than im doing pretty good.
