Is a license required for hunting pen raised quail on private property? If so, which license?
I have not had a chance to pick up a rules book to look at this. I'm asking because some friends will be in town thanksgiving and was wanting to go shoot some quail.

If you hunt pen raised birds outside of the reular quail season it requires a Small Game Shooting Preserve permit. TWRA allows released birds to be shot during the season, but they become part of the daily bag limit for quail.
