how do yall get it to hold together?? i was useing my jerky gun and it came out falling apart.

Did you use the quick/insta cure in the mix??(the pink powder stuff)

Mine gets so tacky you can't get it off your own hands without scraping or washing them under warm water.

No , I just mixed in the spices and salt , so u have to use the cure on ground ? With the cut meat I all ways just salted it ,

When using a mix with cure in it they say to put a little water in it 1/4 cup for most I also add soy or teriyaki sauce .The moisture helps hold it together.

The recommended mix ratio for ground meat is as follows:
1/4 t cure
1 1/2 T seasoning mix
2 T water

Per lb of ground meat.

I have never had a problem with this ratio.

I've always used the seasoning packed and cure packet. Sticks together just fine.

If you will cram it in to the gun and press it full (I use a big spoon to put it in there) it comes out just fine.
