Have spent last two months putting up stands, putting out trail cams, and getting my property near allons ready to hunt. Raked close to half a mile of leaves off trails to my stands last weekend. Super excited about first hunt this coming Saturday. Can't wait.

I have to climb a steep ridge and worry about noise in leaves on way in, dont think I would go with raking but have contemplated running an atv through a trail several times to make it less noisy.

Yep, pretty much all non hunters and a lot of hunters would think you crazy if they came upon you in the middle of the woods raking leaves. With all the wind we had in TN over the last weekend and monday, your trails may be covered again.

Have to say i have raked the leaves out of a trail to my stand several times. I generally wait until after a rain that way it is quiet when u r raking also. And yes it does work for me!

I hunted the next week and the trails were still clear. I took someone with me who had never hunted that area. Was nice to leave the house, but him on a trail before dark, and tell him to follow the trail, take the fork to the right, and walk until you get to the stand. Was nice not having to take him to the stands, then backtrack to mine. Didn't make a sound as we went in.
Sadly, only saw lots of does, and in that county, they were off limits.
