My buddy shot a 4.5-5.5yo this afternoon that has no tail. What do you think? Maybe coyote got him at some point in his life?

Or could have been shot off. I shot at a spike one year, found blood, but no deer. I got him later and had shot his tail off.

I thought he was a doe the second time. Left a really good blood trail the first time. LOL

He was facing away from me. Was aiming right for the booty hole. Shot was a little high. LOL
Was broad sided the second time. Dropped where he stood. Hit in the front shoulder.
