williamson county hunters what's the most recent report?
for me I saw young bucks cruising and shot that big boy following some does last monday, and that was the second time this year i saw a buck following a doe in my honey hole. then this morning, lots of does and fawns together, not a sign of a buck. It's weird... I will be in the woods tomorrow, and won't exercise such release finger restraint on the does unless there actually is a buck behind them.
anyone else noticed a change in behavior? it's like the rut was starting to come on and now it's gone back to does and their babies, which there seem to be an endless supply of.

So a lot just aren't coming into heat yet? They're still with fawns, not all but a lot of them are

Same for me, one day saw a doe and two fawns. The next day saw chasing and killed a buck tending a doe. Then a few days later back to groups of does all in the same exact spot. But then a few miles down the road see chasing in a field. I may be over-hunting my stand and will move up a ridge.

This morning, drviing by the water treatment plant on MacK Hatcher, saw three does standing in the middle of that big field, presumably munching on grass. Came back by about 35 minutes later and there was a buck standing about 10 yards from the does, just looking at them while they ate.
Went into the woods for a couple of hours and saw nothing there.

Had two bucks come through with noses to the ground this evening and 4 bigger bucks came in feeding with the does. Did see a lonely fawn. I think most of the breeding is done. Hunting will still be good for a couple weeks.

Southern Williamson. I am still seeing smaller bucks daily with their noses to the ground. Had a big 8 or 10 with a doe all morning on Monday and could not get a shot off.

That could be it, not all come in at the same time.

North of franklin. From the 1st of november til about the 7th we were seeing a ton of big buck action. Yesterday saw a nice 6 with a doe and that's been it for a few days.
