Designed by Pederson I think, the 141 is an update of the 14 which is/was one of the handiest woods rifle ever carried in cover. They are great hunting rifles especially if you can use the iron sights-a peep sight makes them more effective.

Condition, condition, condition plus original without alteration always commands a premium. The carbine model is not as common as the rifle version and would be worth more. A rifle unaltered in v good condition would probably go for $525 or so as a guess. You will just have to do some research to pin it down.

If it is in good to great condition, I would be jumping on it for the right price. I love the .35 Rem. I missed out on one this summer, dang near mint for $200 at a garage sale.

If it was in really good condition, I would look at it either way......carbine or not. just saying.
