If I hunted middle/west TN, I'd hunt the field edges. A good vantage point for a field with a bit of woods. There gonna be chasing and alot of activity occurs just inside a woodline.

I am usually close to a field, if not overlooking a field edge in the evening. Haven't killed one in the evening yet. All 5 deer in my life were morning or afternoon kills, all in woods close to some type of field

Edge of a field is my preferred location.

I have no fields to watch, so all my hunting is in woods. Years ago when I did hunts were fields were available, I killed more in am than pm.

Where we are during the rut, and I imagine the majority of wooded TN, hunt wooded terrain features in the morning and 100-200 yards from fields in the evenings.

Hunted fieds the last few days and saw very few deer. Hunted the woods this afternoon and saw 6 different bucks and 10 does. If I would have carried the ML rather than the bow, I would be dragging out a real nice 10pt right now. If you have acorns, hunt the woods.
