Been doing this for 10 years in my catering businesses I work in and recently it has been requested as a recipe by a lot of folks, so I thoguht I would post.

Make Good Strong Sweet Tea
My Recipe at Home
6 Bags of Luzziane Tea-1 Gallon of Boiling Water
Put 1 1/2 cups of sugar in bottom of pitcher
Hang Tea Bags from spoon over pitcher pour hot water over and let steep for 5 minutes. Do not squeeze bags when done, this makes tea bitter.
Stir to dissolve sugar and let sit, uncovered until room temp.

Put chicken in casserole dish(can be bone in or boneless)
cover with sweet tea and let sit for minimum 4 hours max 12 hours.

Take out of tea, pat dry with paper towel.
Mix 2 cups buttermilk with 4 tablespoons of your favorite seasoning blend
Mix 4 cups flour with your favorite seasoning blend

bread and fry as normal.

The tea gives it a great moisture content and makes the meat and breading have a slightly caramlized flavor. It's great with buttermilk mashed red taters, green beans, and cornbread

Heck I think this recipe will work on rotten chicken, ok not really, don't try that, but it is good on pork chops too I found out while testing at work.

So you're basically just using the sweet tea as brine. Wonder if it would work on a thanksgiving turkey?

I don't know if it would work on a turkey but wouldn't hurt to try. HMMM maybe that's my next experiment
