What's everyone been seeing in Dickson/Cheatham County? I've been seeing lots of does most of them still with their fawns. I had a lot of fresh scrapes opened up this week and have seen a good bit of young bucks chasing/pestering does but I think its going to take off starting Tuesday and the old deer will be really on the move...

I agree HH. Saw a mature doe getting chased by the same 3 pointer yesterday morning and afternoon. Thought sure a bigger buck would have crossed paths with them and run him off. Either the big boys are laid up with a doe because of the wind or she was the first doe to come in. Saw 3 six pointers walking yesterday morning and two pairs of fawns in the afternoon. Then on the way to the truck i saw a decent buck behind a doe. I think my dad spooked them out of the thicket on his way to the truck. He saw him on the way to his stand chasing. My guess is they where bedded up in a large thicket that was between us. Rut is definitely under way in Montgomery county. Glad i have the whole week off.

Dickson county, jumped a decent buck and doe off bed yesterday morning doing some still hunting in the wind. No chasing as of yet. Maybe this cold front will change things a bit.
