I have had VERY little time in the woods this year. I passed on these 2 this weekend along with a bunch of does and more immature bucks..... Sometimes holding out is really hard.

Who can tell ya if your to picky, noone can. The eye is in the beholder. Don't matter what everyone else thinks, everyone is different. If you want to shoot, shoot, if not then don't. It's your decision ! It's that simple.

Limited time to hunt I think I would have taken it. I can tell you I have also passed on bucks like that but...in your case take a doe for meat and bust that buck to fill your freezer

If you shot the deer, would you have been happy about it or wished you hadn't?

That's the real test. It's hard to change your mentality about something enough to affect your level of happiness.

If I hunted in areas where I often saw deer of that size, it would be easier to pass on them. Right now, I have a couple of places where I would shoot deer like that in a heartbeat, because they are as good as anything I've ever seen on those places and my standards aren't that high.
