Well after being together for 15 years my wife finally decided to start hunting with me. We have three young boys who are constantly busy with sports so for both of us to be able to go we have to really pull some strings. Both the nine year old and the twelve year old tagged there deer durring the youth weekend so now it was momma's turn. I took her to one of the hot spots but she had to work for it. We hiked straight up a mountain to get there and didnt get settled in until 8:15am. We had been setting for about an hour when about 8 or ten deer came running down the ridge. They were heading down bellow us and i knew i would have to call to get them to work there way back up so she could get a shot. I hit the doe bleat twice and heard a deer heading back up to us. It was a spike in full rut. He was grunting,spitting,snort wheezing, the whole nine yards. I thought it was funny that this little guy was putting on such a show for us. He came within 13 yards of us and my wife barelled down on him. Here we are setting on the ground with this rut crazed buck and im waiting on the wife to cut him down. Well she shot and the smoked cleared and the buck jumps a few times and stands threre looking at us. So i took the gun and started reloading but by the time i loaded and placed a cap on it he took back off. I was worried then that my scope was off but the wife said she was so nervous she wasnt sure if she jurked, shut her eyes or what. So we shrugged that one off and stayed put waiting on something else. About thirty minutes later a big doe came in from our left. She worked her way in and started angling down the ridge. I told the wife it was now or never! She said i'm not sure if i want to shot a doe. I said your first one doesnt matter just take her if you want her. She started to look back through the scope and i bleated to her and she turned around. I went to bleat again to see if she would get closer and BOOM!! I wasnt expecting it but it didnt matter. The doe dropped in her tracks! I was so excited and so was she. She kept saying "did I get her? Did i get her?" I kept telling her YES but she kept asking. Ha Ha! It was helarious! She made a great shot and i am so proud of her. I am so blessed to be able to share what i love with my boys and now with my wonderful wife. Sorry for the long read.Good luck to all!

Cool man! i remember my wifes first was the first time i left her alone and i ran back to her after hearing the shot. Congrats.
