How do y'all store your jerky. I made my first this week. No way I can eat five pounds of it so I bagged ad froze about 2/3rds of it. The other third I bagged and me and my boy has snacked on it all week. But I've noticed the bag and meat has beads of water. I assume the cure and seasoning in the meat is pulling water out of the air. Will it hurt the meat? If so how do I stop it?

Thanks

Are you sure it's water and not excess fat weeping out of the meat?? What type of meat did you use?

When you say whole, I will take it you mean you cut into strips and marinaded then dried.

What method of drying and @ how long did you dry the meat for? (meaning, dehydrator, oven, etc)

I am just curious, I do alot of jerky and never once had water inside the bags afterwards

I was bagging mine too quick after drying. Let it cool to room temp before bagging solved my problem

I've also had fat bead up afterwards. This was more of a problem when I tried using one of those jerky shooters, because I had some ground meat that was blended with some pork fat.

Last time I make that mistake...
