Does anyone have any experience with one of these? I'm considering getting one to use next year. My main concern is sharp rocks and water at the upper end of class 2 rapids. Not wanting the best one out there but I see some pretty decent looking ones in the $400 range...?

I drag mine across asphalt and gravel parking lots and have never had a problem. I've got friends that float the New River and HI in theirs and have never cut it. Both rivers have sharp shelves. Most frames are the same, and you will want to consider re-welding all the joints when you get it. I know of two people that have had welds break and have had to take some long walks because of this.
Keep and eye on Craigslist. When I was looking to get one, I checked all the classifieds, and picked mine up for $100 about a year ago.

Thanks Buzz. It will be mainly used on the HI to get to the rockfish when they move up high.
