I'm on blood for around 50 yards until he hit an enormous broom sedge field. I just got some lunch and am starting a huge grid search momentarily.

Question.. He is likely still wearing my arrow but I have drops of dark red blood. Liver or muscle?

Liver blood is dark red but a good liver shot usually bleeds real good unless there's no exit and the arrows still in him.

Can't really say since he was shot yesterday. Blood darkens when it dries.

Could be either as its many hours old now. Dont be discouraged with limited blood however, as if theres no exit hole and the arrow is still in the likely high entry (treestand shot) he may bleed mainly internally, atleast for a while. Good luck again.

Any update? Scour that broom sedge, I know what it's like. Not fun really. See if he found water because that's what mine did. 450 yards worth of broom sedge, dead forbs and briar thickets and he still made it to water.
